Service for George E. Grove, 2825 W. Willow, is at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd H. Lambert
officiating. Burial will follow the ceremony in the Enid Cemetery.
Grove, 72, died in an Enid hospital Saturday after a 10-day illness.
Born April 22, 1904 in Enid, Indian Territory. Grove attended the Kenwood
School and graduated from Enid High School. He lived in Enid all his life
and was involved with several businesses until his retirement.
He married the former Mabel Sinderson, December 22, 1926 and was a member of the Central Christian Church. Interested persons contribute in Grove's
memory to the memorial fund for the Central Christian Church, with the
Henninger-Allen Funeral Home serving as custodian.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel of the home; a son, Steve Grove of Enid; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Rilla) Cobb of Ponca City; seven grandchildren;
one great grandchild; two brothers, Marvin Grove of Pomona, California and
Ralph Grove of Enid; and one sister, Mrs. Allen (Esther) McMillin of
Independence, Kansas."
