The funeral service celebrating and honoring the life of Bobby Hilton Young, 79, is 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Andrew Long officiating. A private family graveside service will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bobby was born May 15, 1937, in Bale Center, Texas, to Harvey Lee Young and Norma Elleda Hindman. He passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016. He was raised in Quanah, Texas, and attended Quanah schools. In 1955, he met Glynn Clark and they were married on Jan. 20, 1956, in Quanah, Texas.

For the past 39 years, he made Enid home. Bobby spent his working career primarily in the oil and gas business. He was very active with the Enid Elks. Bobby loved gardening, golfing, and family gatherings.

Bobby is survived by his children, Clark and wife, Beth; Michael and wife, Nancy; Phillip and wife, Jana; Laura and husband, Kelly; sister, Avalee and husband, Rayford; brother, Billy; 12 grandkids, eight great-grandkids; and many nieces and nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Glynn; his parents; brother, Lloyd; sister, Joyce; and brother, Johnny.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
