ENID, Okla. - Graveside service for Billye F. Young 87, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Susan Southall will officiate the service. Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Billye was born Nov. 17, 1925, in Ardmore, Okla., the daughter of Daniel and Hazel (Gaines) Custer and died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Billye attended schools in Cushing, graduating in 1943. She attended Oklahoma State University, from which she became a life long fan of the OSU Cowboys.

Billye married Doyle E. Young Sr. on Sept. 15, 1946, in Cushing, Okla.

Billye and Doyle lived most of their married life in Enid. Billye was a member of First United Methodist Church, Kappa Alpha Theta and the Eastern Star. Billye had worked in the gift shop at Bass Hospital for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Doyle.

Surviving are two sons, Doyle Young Jr. of Minneapolis and Dan Young of Enid: one daughter, Susan Patton of Madill; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
