Medford – The funeral for Paul R. Yerian, 85, will be at 10 AM Saturday in the Hills – Ely Chapel, Medford, with the Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid and Masonic graveside rites will be given with Steve Spleth as orator. Arrangements are under the direction of Hills – Ely Funeral Home, Medford.

He was born on June 5, 1910, at Anthony, Kansas, to George F. And Dollie E. Pyles Yerian and died Wednesday, May 8, 1996, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He attended school at Cherryvale, Clyde, Wakita and graduated from Medford High School in 1929.

He married Velma Williamson on February 23, 1935, at Enid. He was a wheat farmer and owned and operated the Dairyland Café for seven years. He manufactured wind chargers, repaired electric motors and was a partner in a barn painting company. He was a member of the Medford Masonic Lodge #108.

He is survived by his wife, Velma; one son, Max of Enid; one daughter, Connie Mennem of Stillwater; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division.
