Alexandra L. "Basia" Uteev, age 100, of 1120 Wynonna passed away Saturday morning in Enid Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Graveside services will be at 10 AM Monday at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Kolb officiating. Ladusau – Evans is handling the arrangements.

She was born May 19, 1890 in Spassk, Russian Empire to Katherin Klukin and Ilarion Kutianin. She married Nikanor Uteev in May 1913 at Kazan Privience Russian Empire. He preceded her in death August 1961.

She organized the primary education system in Frunze, Soviet Union. Before Coming to the United States in 1929 as a tailor, she was a teacher and an administrator. She moved to Enid in 1989 from California where she lived for 53 years. She is survived by a daughter, Thais U. Johnson, Enid, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Alexandra U. Johnson, Enid, Oklahoma.
