Albert Unruh

The funeral for Albert Unruh, 76, 2010 N. Second, will be at 2 PM Friday in the Enid Bible Church. The Rev. James Matheny, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

Unruh died Tuesday evening in an Oklahoma City hospital after a period of ill health. He was born May 3, 1908, at Lahoma and had lived in the Hillsdale community for a number of years. He retired from a farm and later moved to Enid.

In 1929, Unruh and Bertha Froese were married. He was a member of the Enid Bible Church, and a former elder of the church.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha; one daughter, LaVerna Unruh of Houston; two sons, Melvin Unruh of Cherokee and Don Unruh of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren; three great – grandchildren; two brothers, Wilbert Unruh of Tahlequah, and Walter Unruh of Meno; and two sisters, Mrs. Irving (Lorena) Schmidt of Carnegie and Ruby Unruh of Tahlequah.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

The casket will be open after the service.
