The funeral for Alice Louise Unruh, 86, will be 10 AM Tuesday at First Assembly of God. The Rev.'s Dan Barrick and Robert Florence will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson – Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with family will be 6:30 to 8 PM today at the funeral home.

She was born March 23, 1916, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to F. Marion and Anna Young Harper and died Saturday, January 4, 2003, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

She was raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and graduated from Watson Chapel High School. As a teenager, she conducted Vacation Bible School in several towns. In 1934, she came to Southwestern Bible School in Enid. On September 9, 1936, she married Austin Elmer Unruh at Pine Bluff. They lived in Enid, and she worked for Southwestern Bible School for two years. She later was a bookkeeper and secretary for her husband's plumbing business and helped him as custodian of First Assembly of God. She taught Sunday school for more than 45 years and served as Sec./Treas. of Women's Ministries for 21 years. She spent Friday afternoons taking Sunday school lessons to shut – ins.

Surviving are her husband, Austin of the home; two daughters, Martha Ann Counce of Enid and Mary Alice Tisdale of Boerne, Texas; one son, David of Enid; one half sister, Janie Wright of West Plains, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and 11 great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the churches missions fund.
