Mary Underwood, 80, 1512 E. Randolph, died Monday in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday in Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. Meitler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Underwood was born March 23, 1902, in Polk County, Oklahoma, and came to Enid in 1929 from Mehan. She had lived in Enid since that time with the exception of a few years in California and Oregon.

Mrs. Underwood was employed by Phillips University as house mother at both the boys' and girls' dorms. She was a member and past Pres. of Yarber Navy Mothers Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Rose Hayworth, Canby, Oregon, and Dorothy Bennett, Rohnert Park, California; two sons, Harry Underwood, Enid, and Joe Underwood, Ponca City; 16 grandchildren; 40 great – grandchildren; and one great – great – grandchild.
