The Funeral Services Celebrating the life of Mr. Edward H. Turner, 85, of Enid will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday July 27, 2016 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gordon Jantz officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born December 25, 1930 to E.H. and Bernice M. Humphreys Turner in Enid and passed from this life July 22, 2016 in Enid.

He was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1950. He married his wife of over 65 years, Charlotte Menz, on July 17, 1951. He entered into service with the U.S. Army in 1951 and served during the Korean war and was honorably discharged in 1954. He returned to Enid and worked for Long Bells, Cleveland Floors and Paul’s Glass and Floor Covering stores each for 5 years. He and his wife founded Ed’s Floor covering in 1974 and prospered the company for 25 years until retiring in 1999.

He stayed busy during his retirement volunteering at St. Mary’s, doing wood working and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; Daughter, Ginny Thomas, of Enid; Son’s Brian Turner and wife Joan, of Enid and Gene and wife Lee Ann, of Ames; one sister Marguerite Poole, of California and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
