Elizabeth Charlotte Hostetter Thompson

Funeral service for Elizabeth Charlotte Hostetter Thompson, 71, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at Calvary Assembly of God with Rev. Richard Fleig officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.Charlotte was born Sept. 7, 1937, on the mountain top of Rockbridge County, Va., and later moved to Mecklenburg County, where she met her husband Percie W. Thompson. After marrying, Charlotte and Percie traveled with the military until making Enid, Okla., their home.

Charlotte is survived by four children, Edith Ann Barnes "Sissy," Tommy Dewayne Thompson, Barbara Ann Brown "Bobo" and Richard Watkins Thompson. Charlotte has 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Charlotte has one sister, Mary Alice Parish and husband Johnny of Dolphin, Va.; five brothers, Robert Hostetter and wife Faye of South Hill, Va., J.L. Hostetter and wife Katherine of SouthHill, Va., Calvin Hostetter of Baskerville and Charles Ricky Hostetter of Lawerneville, Carson Hostetter and wife Joan of Georgia. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Percie W. Thompson; two brothers, Eugene Leslie and Jerry Wayne Hostetter. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
