Ogie Taylor

Olgie L. Taylor, 73, of Hillsdale died early Monday afternoon in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Meredith Sides will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in his memory for the Congregational Church of Hillsdale with the funeral home in charge of the funds.

Born in Wakita Feb. 2, 1900 he moved to the Hillsdale area where his folks established a home one mile North and one mile East of Town. He attended rural schools there and following his education he began farming on his fathers farm. He was a member of the Christian Church of Hillsdale.

Taylor is survived by his wife Docia, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Maxine) McCurley, Everett, Wash.; Mrs. Jack (Ruth) Porter, Evergreen, Colo; one son, Dr. R. D. Taylor, Glenwood Springs , Colo, and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dale and his parents.
