A private graveside service for Jim Taylor, 93, will be held at Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Jim was born to William and Rosabelle (Northcutt) Taylor on Sept. 24, 1921, in Wayne, Okla., and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at his home in Enid, Okla.

Jim graduated from Wayne High School, and then served in the Army Air Corp.

On Jan. 1, 1947, he married Ruth Montez Spomer in Hennessey.

They made their home in Enid, where Jim worked for Stuart Pontiac Cadillac Dealership, starting out as a mechanic, then service manager, and finally in sales for a total of 59 years.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 80, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, and Akdar Shrine of Tulsa, Okla., VFW, Guthrie and Ruth Chapter Eastern Star and Enid Order of the Eastern Star.

Jim was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by three children, Jama and Edwin Moore of Mineola, Texas, Bob and Teresa Taylor of Enid, and Bruce and Jean Taylor of Edmond; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sue Westbrook of Purcell.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Montez, and seven brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be made to Downs Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma.
