Wednesday, June 23rd, 1937 - Thursday, November 2nd, 2023

Funeral services for Bobby Tackett will be 2:00pm, Monday, November 6, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Enid with Pastor Jonathan Gilliland and Pastor Richard Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends before the service from 12:30pm-1:30pm on Monday at the church.

Bob was born June 23, 1937 in Alma, Oklahoma to Fred and Earline (Jones) Tackett and passed from this life into Heaven on November 2, 2023. He was raised in Fox, Oklahoma, where attended school. He went into the Oil and Gas business with his father at the age of 14 and named it Tackett and Son. In 1965, Bob moved to Enid, where he went to work for Mack Oil Co. then Champlin/ Union Pacific where he retired. After retirement, he went to work for Cheyenne Petroleum. His happiest years were working with his son-in-law Dennis Pealor and partner Claude Obar in the operations of DC Energy. After retirement from the Oil and Gas Industry Bob enjoyed traveling, his trip to Israel made a big impact on him, seeing the locations where his Lord and Savior had traveled. The greatest loves in his life were God, his church, and his family. His daily prayer was for his family to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and for them to be with him in Heaven one day.

Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years Betty Tackett; daughter, Nena Pealor and husband Dennis, son, Samuel Tackett; daughter, Darla Niles and husband Rob; daughter, Dee Ann Moren and husband Billy; brother-in-law, Wesley Lasater and wife Gail; numerous nieces and nephews; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Freddy Moore; daughter-in-law, Donna Tackett; granddaughters, Naomi and Mary Grace Moren, great grandsons, Isaiah and Joshua Moren.

Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Enid Missions and Links International with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
