Funeral services for Elmer E. Shaw 76 of Enid, will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Bland officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Elmer was born on August 30, 1928 in Kearney, Nebraska to Charles and Edna Mary Brisbon and was raised by John and Mary Edna Shaw. He died Sunday evening March 20, 2005 at the Enid Senior Care.
He attended various schools growing up. He was married on April 2, 1961 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Bobetta “Bobbie” Phye. He worked for the city of Enid as a truck driver and later in his life as the Supervisor of the Street Division.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie of the home, seven children Evelyn Sue Jones, Kathy Willis, Karen Sanders, Kelly Gonzalez, Lodea Lockhart, Martin Shaw, and Adeanna and Kenny Marshall. 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, a sister Phylura Lyons of Clinton, MO, one mother-in-law Crystal Phye, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
