OBITUARY

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Monday, January 23 for Bruce "Buzz" Garber Sturgis , age 31, of Oklahoma City. They were at Central Christian Church with Dr. Lloyd H. Lambert officiating. He died early Saturday morning, January 21, 1995 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City following a brief illness. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home, Enid.

Mr. Sturgis was born on December 24, 1963 in Enid. He was raised and received his education in Enid, graduating from Enid High School. He attended Southern Methodist University. He graduated from Phillips University with a degree in Political Science and received his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University. He was a clerk for Chief Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court, Marian P. Opala. He was an attorney in Oklahoma City. Mr. Sturgis was a member of Central Christian Church. While at Phillips University, he was Vice-President of the student senate. He was a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. He had been enjoying traveling the world.

Bruce is survived by his mother, Vicki Garber of Enid; his father, Bruce Miller of Houston, Tx.; one sister, Andrea Garber Sturgis of Enid. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Garber and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Miller.
