OBITUARY
Myrtle V. STRECKER
The funeral service for Myrtle V. Strecker, 74-year-old Enid resident, will be 10 a.m. today, April 8, 2006, at Bible Baptist Church. The Rev. T.A. Chick will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henning-er-Allen Funeral Home. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age in the Orion Baptist Church.
She was born Aug. 17, 1931, in Fairview to William C. Bouse and Bessie Long and died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She attended Liberty School in Orion and graduated from Seiling High School in 1949.
On Aug. 21, 1949, she married Jesse F. Strecker in the Orion Baptist Church. The couple made their home on the farm and then moved to Enid in September 1954. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and crochet. She loved the Christian Gospel Hymns. She was an active, faithful member of Bible Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn and husband Jerry Flynn of Enid, and Barbara and husband Paul East of Temple, Texas; one son, David and his wife DeNeyce Strecker of Conroe, Texas; five grandchildren, Micky and wife Lisa Flynn, Josh Strecker and wife Jana, Rachel Nikolaiev and husband Matthew, Lori Flynn and Chris East; three great-grandchildren; and four brothers and one sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Pamela Sue Strecker, one grandchild, Jonathan East, two brothers, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.
