Fred C. Stone, 74, of Norman (formerly of Enid) passed away Wednesday, November 02, 2016.

He was born July 13, 1942 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Fred W. and Eva (Rogers) Stone. He grew up and attended Tipton High School where he graduated in 1960. On November 14, 1964, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Fuller. He worked for OG&E in Enid for almost 24 years before being transferred to Norman in 1988. He retired from OG&E in June 1994 after almost 30 years of service.

Fred is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Dorothy of Norman; daughter Cathy Guinn of Garber, OK; son John and wife Dana of Enid, OK; granddaughters Katelyn, Kyla and Karsyn Stone and grandson Levi Guinn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 4 pm on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman with Chaplain John Chasteen officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 5, 2016. There will be a graveside service at 12 noon in the Memorial Park mausoleum chapel.

Memorials may be made in memory of Fred OMRF (Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation).

Arrangements for Fred and his family were placed in the care of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
