James Dale Stebbins was born Aug. 8, 1946, in Tulsa, Okla., the son of A.C. and Lorene Stebbins, and passed away to be with God on Nov. 7, 2014, in Enid.

He spent his childhood growing up on his family farm outside of Medford, graduating from Lamont High School with the class of 1964. Jim then attended Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan., earning his bachelor’s degree.

He served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1978. Jim worked as a security guard for NORCE for 25 years and two years as a social worker.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Mary of the residence; son, Joshua Stebbins of the residence; stepdaughter, Devon Jordan; three grandchildren, Blaze, Lyric, and Marlee; mother, Lorene Stebbins of Edinburg, Texas; and Jim’s loyal cat, Zoey.

Private family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. Viewing and visitation with the family present will be this evening from 6-7:30p.m. at Stittsworth’s.
