The funeral for Hazel “Fern” Jones States, 88, Yukon, formerly of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Nazarene Church. The Revs. John Miller and Bruce Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cem-etery. Arrange-ments are by Ladu-sau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born Feb. 23, 1918, in Alva to Fred and Alice Pearl Carter Jones and died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, in Oklahoma City.

She attended schools in the Aline area. She married Milton States July 24, 1935, in Oklahoma City. They lived in the Wakita area, where they farmed. They later moved to Medford. After retiring, they moved to Enid and the last several years she lived in Yukon. She was a member of First Nazarene Church.

Surviving are one son Ellis States, Mustang; one daughter, Carolyn Campbell, Yukon; three sisters, Maxine Snider, Lois Williams and Jean Nickles; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, one sister and one infant granddaughter.
