Pearl Maxine Snider

Funeral service for Maxine Snider, 93, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 5:30-7 p.m. today, Dec. 30, at Anderson - Burris Funeral Home .

Maxine was born to Charles and Pearl Watkins on June 19, 1921, in Aline, Okla., and passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, in Enid, Okla.

Maxine graduated from Cleo Springs High School.

On Oct. 6, 1940, she married Leonard Snider in Aline. They were married almost 69 years.

Maxine worked for Beechcraft. After retirement, they moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where they lived for 25 years before returning to Enid in 2007.

She is survived by two children, Lynda Cheeley of Chandler, Ariz., and Gary Snider of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois Williams and Jean Nickels, both of Enid.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; infant daughter, Pearl Nadine; two sisters and four brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
