A family celebration for Jerry Dean Smith, age 59 years, of Enid, will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau Evans Funeral Home.

Jerry was born January 29, 1961 in Denver, Colorado to Marion L. Smith and Dorothy (Wahl) Smith, and died suddenly, Sunday, November 29, 2020 at his home.

He attended school in Denver Co. and later Pioneer High School here in Enid. After that he worked for Cummins Construction here in Enid for 10 years. He then moved to Colorado Springs, CO and worked for Windsor Construction in Colo. Springs, for more than 20 years as a supervisor, up until his health required him to take early retirement.

After that he moved back to Enid to be closer to his family. His favorite hobbies included, fishing, cooking, wood craving and spending time with family. He was a big fan of the Denver Broncos, he also loved his pet dogs, having several different breeds through his lifetime. Jerry was always kind and generous and a friend to everyone. He had a big, big heart. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Marion L. Smith and brother, Tim Smith.

He is survived by his fiancée, Joanne Merrill of Enid, mother, Dorothy Smith of Enid, sister, Shirley George and husband Eldon, of Enid, brother Don Smith and wife LeaAnne, of Enid, brother David Smith and wife Mistie, of Enid; six nephews and one great-nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
