August 18, 1941 - September 8, 2019

The Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Dolores Smith, 78, of Enid will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday September 14, 2019 in the Central Christian Church with Pastor Tom Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born August 18, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bennie Albert and Lois Ethel (Harris) Couch and passed from this life on September 08, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma.

She grew up around the Cushing, OK. area and attended sixth through twelfth grade at Perry High school, graduating in 1959. She married at sixteen and worked in the service industry in Enid, OK. In 1963 she began working for Metropolitan Life in Enid, OK. She worked in the clerical field before retiring in 1980. On August 16, 1980 she married Roy Smith in the Emmanuel Baptist Church. She ran her own businesses where she became the Northwest Regional President for Avon. She helped with Emmaus Women's Church Group and was head of the Christian Women's' Fellowship group at Central Christian Church. She was a master at crocheting and at making jewelry. She loved arts and crafts, adding bright colors and "bling" to her creations. She was always known as a classically dressed lady. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Roy Smith; children, Jay Russell and wife Stephanie, of Enid; John David Smith and wife Janette, of Enid; Janice Warfield and husband Scott, of Enid; sisters, Kay, Louis, Shirley; brother Bennie; and sister-in-law Louis; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Braylin Russell.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Christian Women's Fellowship group of Enid with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
