August 12, 1941 - August 12, 2018

Funeral services for Julie Ann Shaw, 77 of Enid, will be Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dean Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Julie was born on August 12, 1941 in Enid, to Robert Dale and Evelyn Marie (Kight) Miller and died on her birthday, August 12, 2018 in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Garber High School in 1959 and attended Enid Business College. On December 30, 1960, Julie married William Harold Shaw and they made their home in Enid. She worked at OGE, helped with the farming, was a mother, housewife, and worked alongside Harold for over 50 years. Julie was a cub scout leader, paper route driver, Honorary Chapter FFA member, Honorary 4H Leader. She was a 50-year member of extension homemakers, where she held several offices. Julie was involved with the Women’s Bowling Association and was inducted into the EWBA Hall of Fame in 2005. She was the Garfield County Fair Coordinator and Judge for many years. Julie served as a clerk for the election board and was a little league baseball scorekeeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Kacie Markwell; and brother, Jim Miller

Julie is survived by her husband, Harold; four sons and their wives, Greg and Robin, Scott and Melissa, Brad and Julie, and Adam and Candice; eight grandchildren, Shyla Markwell, Mandy Crosby, Troyce Shaw, Bill Shaw, Courtney Shaw, Cana Shaw, Amanda Shaw, Destiney Shaw; five great grandchildren, Kitana, Cooper, Teegyn, Laykin, and Jensyn; two brothers and their wives, Bob and Kathy Miller and David and Rayma Miller; other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Greater Enid Youth Grand Prix Scholarship Fund.
