He drove the school bus for the Covington/Douglas Schools and later Vo-Tech for fourteen years.

He is survived by one son, Richie and his wife Kim Schoeling, of Fairmont, and daughter, Debbie Fischer and her husband Mark, of Douglas; grandchildren, Bryan Fischer, Austin Phillips, and Dakota Schoeling; great-grandchildren, Brannock Fischer; and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years Mary Bernadine Schoeling; parents; and brothers, Kenneth, Virgil, Edgar, Keith, Larry, and Glen.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Tri-County Sr. Citizens Center, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
