The funeral service for Cherul E. Rork, 62 year-old Enid resident will be Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 2:00PM in the North Garland Church of Christ. Gordan Jantz, Adam Smith, and Erik Granberg will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. There will be a visitation Wednesady evening from 5PM-7PM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.

Cherul was born September 23, 1953 in Enid to Bernus and Margie (Hays ) Osburn and passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1972. After graduation she married Wayne Burris. To this union three daughters were born, Christina, Cindy, and Cathy. They later divorced.

On July 24, 1981 she married Gary Rork in Carrier. The couple made their home in Enid where Cherul Owned and operated a day care from her home for 30 years. On April 13, 1989 she received a heart transplant and at the time of her passing was the longest living female heart transplant patient in the country.

She was a life-time member of the Church of Christ. She loved her church, caring for children, and spending time with her family. She and her husband enjoyed traveling across the United States and abroad.

She is survived by her husband Gary of the home, three daughters, Christina Bellecourt of Denver, Cindy Geitzenauer of Enid, and Cathy Berry and husband Chris of Enid. 4 grandchildren, Hannah, Daylan, Becca, and Landon. Two brothers, Jim Osburn and wife Geneva and Garry Osburn and wife Calvina.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to either Manuelito Childrens Fund or Colorado Christian Services through Henninger-Hinson.
