Funeral services for Edith Marlene Roberts, 68, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

She was born March 21, 1938, in Stringer, Miss., to N.H. and Chassie Ida Knight Craven and passed away early Monday, July 3, 2006, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was raised in Laurel, Miss., and married James Roy Burnett and moved to Wichita, where she had three sons and worked for Boeing Aircraft.

She moved to Enid in 1970 and worked for Failings and then at Northern Oklahoma Resource Center as a resident life staff aide until her retirement. She started her life with Richard D. Green in 1991.

She is survived by Richard Green of the home; three sons, Joe and Jennie Burnett of Oklahoma City, Jeff and Kacey Burnett of Waukomis, and Robert and Teresa Burnett of Enid; eight grandchildren, Angel, Hallie, Joey, Chassie, Ian, Kile, Blake and Derek; one great-grandchild, Kelsey; one brother, Wesley Craven of Stringer, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Charles and James C. Craven, and one grandchild, Jeffrey Don Burnett.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research, Cancer Division, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.
