ENID - Funeral service for J.B. Ray, 84, will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with Pastor Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

J.B. was born to Joseph and Lilly (McDaniel) Ray on April 26, 1929, in Marietta, Okla., and passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, in Enid.

J.B. grew up in Bison.

He married Bernell Browning March 19, 1949, in Wheeler, Texas. They recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. He enjoyed their Friday night special friends card parties, fishing, hunting, playing cards and being with family.

They made their home in Clinton and moved to Enid in 1966, where he owned J.B. Ray Quality Homes of Enid, and was a member of Enid Home Builders Association.

J.B. was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and Sunday school.

He is survived by his wife, Bernell of the home; children, Margie Dodson and husband Jerry of Enid, Cherri Bamburg of Enid, and Jesse Ray and wife Tammy of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Donnie Walter; four sisters, Evelyn Tyrrell, Janice Waggoner, Kay Johnson and Gerry McConnel.

J.B. was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Larry Ray.

Memorials may be made to O.M.R.F., Alzheimer division.
