Early L Ryne Jr.
November 1, 1942 - July 18, 2023

The home going services celebrating and honoring the life of Early Lee Ryne, 80, of Enid will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday July 28, 2023, in the West Side Church of God in Christ with Sr. Pastor, Superintendent Derwin L. Norwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born to Early Sr. and Mary Smith Ryne November 1, 1942, in Enid, OK, and entered into heaven and met his Lord July 18, 2023. He was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1960. He then went on to work at Bond Bakery. He married the love of his life Carolyn Ann Parker January 31, 1965, in Enid. He worked in the petroleum industry, retiring from Arco as the Covington plant manager in 1994 after seventeen years. After his retirement he went on to work at the Enid State School for three years. He then helped his wife operate their in-home daycare (Carolyn's Kids) for ten years where he was known as "Pawpaw" to a generation.

He was a longtime and faithful member of West Side Church of God in Christ, teaching Sunday School, teaching YPWW, and serving on the Trustee Board and he was a dedicated Deacon. He and his wife welcomed many foster children into their home throughout the years. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, and was a great cook.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Carolyn Ryne, of the home; two daughters, Monica Ryne Washington (Terrence) of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Kristi Ryne of Jacksonville, North Carolina; one son, Tyler Ryne of Enid; one brother-in-law, Ray Parker of Tulsa; 8 grandchildren, DaVaughn Washington of Charlotte, N.C., Dempsey Ryne of Charlotte, N.C., Parker Ryne of Enid, Sierra Harber of Enid, Natalee and Nicole Ryne of Enid, TreMarcus and Tia Jackson of Enid; 1 great-grandchild, Parker Thornton; two brothers James Branch, of Enid, Oklahoma and William Jackson, of Dallas, Texas and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, and God Daughter Marrissa Rucker
