Graveside service for Carol Risor, 81 will be Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 11:00 am in Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Tom LeGrand officiating. Arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Carol Ann Caywood Risor was born November 4, 1942 to Harold and Wilda (Wilcox) Caywood, in Cherokee, Oklahoma and died on December 17, 2023 in Enid.

The Caywood family moved from Cherokee to Enid in 1954. Carol graduated from Enid High school in 1960. She later attended Enid Business College.

While working at Newman's department store in 1964, she met and fell in love with Robert Raymond Risor. They were married on May 7, 1965, in Enid, Oklahoma. Robert and Carol moved to and settled down in Wagoner, Oklahoma, where they owned and operated the Sears and Roebuck store for 9 years. They were both heavily involved with Wagoner County DHS, receiving volunteers of the year awards. Afterwards, Carol became a deputy at the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office.

During the later years of her life, she spent much of her time taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. This was her joy.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Wagner & husband, Randy, Donna Sanders & husband, Pat; grandchildren, Steven Powers, of Wagoner, OK, Tucker Mankin, of Ashland City, TN, Reece & Regan Wagner, of Enid; great grandchildren, October & Helena Powers of Enid, Nathan Wagner of Enid; nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Wilda Caywood; husband, Robert Risor; two brothers, Monte & Kelly Caywood; one great grandson, Steven James Powers III; three nephews, Kelly Caywood, Jr, Cash Caywood and Scott Caywood.
