Celebration of life service for Stella Katherine Puffinbarger will be 11:11 a.m. Friday, No. 16, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Enid, with Rev. Keith Miller officiating. A private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Katherine was born May 29, 1926, in Cherokee to Samuel W. and Grace Opal (Viers) Fitzsimmons and passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in Enid, Okla.

Katherine married Oral Dean Daugherty in Wellington, Kan., and later married Arthur Dale Puffinbarger in Enid.

She received her bachelor's and master's degree in education from NWOSU, Alva. She taught school in Pond Creek, and retired from Chisholm Public Schools.

She was very active at First Baptist Church. Katherine was a very independent, bigger than life, strong lady, that loved to sing, travel, watch sports, spending time with her family and friends

She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Sue Streck (Jim) of Fallon, Nev.; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and stepdaughters, Denise and Diane. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, and two brothers, Jim and Robert Fitzsimmons.
