A Celebration of Life service for Helen M. Price, age 79, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, Oct. 21, 2015, at the funeral home.

Helen was born Feb. 16, 1936, in Ames, Okla., to Raymond and Blanche McNickle Randolph and passed away early Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, in Highland Park Manor. She was raised in Ames and graduated from Ames High School in 1954. She married John Wood on July 3, 1954. Helen later married Wally Price in 1987.

Helen spent many years working in the Enid community. She was employed by the Enid Police Department, Humble Oil Co., the Drummond Co-op, Ralph Jenkins Ins. Co. and Larry’s Home Oxygen, retiring in 2013.

Helen was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was very active in her Sunday school class. She also enjoyed being a greeter and for many years enjoyed being involved with the Christmas pageant. Helen enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Meadowlake Women’s Golf Association.

Helen is survived by her sons, Darrel Wood and his wife, Amy of Kingfisher, Donnie Wood and his wife, Dana of Enid; grandchildren, Chanda Kapke and husband, Daniel, Brad Wood and wife, Windy, Kelly Mendel and husband, Kurt, Shelly Hornberger and husband, Mason; great-grandchildren Alex and Eli Kapke, Riley and Reese Wood, and Kade Mendel, step-grandchildren Bailey, Brittany, Addison and Shelby Wilson; two brothers, Johnnie Randolph and Loyd Randolph; two sisters, Fayetta Denning and Hazel Kampschroeder; step-children Kim and Liz Price, Nancy and David Simon and their children.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Nellie Rose McCreary; husband, Wally Price; and her parents.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church – Building Fund, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
