May 01, 1930 - March 31, 2018

James Ray Poore Sr. passed from this earthly world to be with his Lord and Savior; he was 87 years old. Jim was born in Enid to William (Bill) and Tuna Poore. He attended Enid schools and received a degree from Oklahoma A&M (now OSU). Jim served his country in the Korean War with the 45th Division of the Oklahoma National Guard. Jim married Janice Gosnell and they recently celebrated 71 years of marriage. Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather; he will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

He is survived by his wife Janice; son James R. Poore Jr. (DeeAnn); daughter Liz Cotton (Peter); son Larry Poore (Jodi); daughter Carolyn Keane; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018, in Memorial Park Cemetery for interment; all are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Enid American Legion, 121 W. Oak Ave. Enid, OK 73701.

A graveside service is 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018, Memorial Park Cemetery, 6405 Memorial Drive, Enid.
