January 19, 1942 - May 15, 2019

Celebration of Life Service for Mary Lou Phipps, 77 of Enid, will be 10:00 AM, Monday, May 20, 2019 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Pullin officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mary Lou was born on January 19, 1942 in Waynoka to Walter and Lula (Wanzer) Wickham and passed away on May 15, 2019 in Enid.

Mary Lou grew up in Waynoka and graduated from Waynoka High School. She then went to the Enid General Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated with her nursing degree. She married Gary Phipps on September 4, 1965 and they made their home in Enid. She worked for Enid General Hospital for 15 years and St. Mary's Hospital for 25 years. She and her husband were members of square-dancing clubs and The North Enid Lions Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; both parents; brother, Charles "Bud"; sister, Darlene; and grandson, Caleb.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Darrell and Jessica Phipps, and Sandee and Marshall Ward; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Eden.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Disabled American Veterans. Condolence online at www.andersonburris.com.
