The funeral for Mary Ann Peterson, 103, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Lester L. Lowry, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 29, 1904, in Kansas to Oscar and Bertha Smith Mongold and died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Enid Senior Care Center.

She lived in Waverly, Iowa, several years before moving to Fairview. She married Fred Peterson in 1945. She moved to Enid in 1995. She was a member of Fairview Assembly of God Church. On her 100th birthday, she received a certificate from Gov. Brad Henry commending her on a long life.

Surviving are two daughters, Yvonne Young and Annette Rosemary Aldridge, both of Enid; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Fred, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in to charity of donor’s choice.
