TALOGA - The funeral for Donna Faye Penner , 72, of Lahoma, will be 2 p.m Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Steve Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 7- 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Cimarron, Kan., to Sands and Eva Nelson Culver and died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, in Oklahoma City.

She grew up in Cimarron and graduated from Cimarron High School. After her parents died, she was raised by her brother and his wife, Eldon and Wanda Culver.

She married Ernest Penner Nov. 1, 1959, in Cimarron. They made their home in Enid. They moved to Lahoma in 1961. She was a wife and homemaker. She later worked at Sears, where she was the service department manager until she retired.

Surviving are her husband, Ernest; two children, Jamie Powell of Pell City, Ala., and Shannon Penner of Enid.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother and two sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation-diabetes division.

Funeral Services for Ernest Penner, Moore, were held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, OK. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid.

Ernest Abraham Penner was born to Abe and Eva (Eck) Penner July 17, 1939, in Fairview and passed away January 1, 2016 at the age of 76.

Ernest lettered in football in his high school years.

He married Donna Culver November 1, 1959, in Cimarron, Kansas. They were married 50 years until she passed away in 2010. Ernest was a longtime and very involved member of Bible Baptist Church in his younger years. He sang in the choir, assisted during the offertory and drove the church bus. He worked for many years doing custom harvester work, driving from Oklahoma to North Dakota and back again in the warmer months. He also drove for Gold Spot Dairy in the winter and drove trucks transporting modular homes. He always treated the young guys who were his hired hands well. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by them.

Survivors include his two daughters, Jamie Powell and husband Patrick, of Riverside, Alabama and Shannon Penner of Moore; two brothers and four sisters.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; his parents, Abe and Eva; several sisters including Melinda, Rose, Sue, Ida and Kate; and a daughter, Tracy Penner.
