ENID — Service for Douglas “Doug” Kent Pekrul, 55, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Ringwood High School gymnasium, with Pastor Thomas House officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid.

Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., Helena. Viewing will be 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, with family present 6-8 at the funeral home. www.lan manmemorials.com.

Doug was born February 12, 1958, in Enid to Everett Pekrul and Shirley Davidson Pekrul and passed from this life December 12, 2013, at his home in Enid.

Doug married Cindy McGill September 24, 1982.

He lived in the Enid area 14 years, moving from Ringwood. As a teenager, Doug started work with Davidson Brothers Cement Finishing and worked in the cement business for years.

He also helped his dad and brothers in a roofing business and then worked in oil field production. Doug also worked at Comet Go Cart and doing wrecker service at Enid Speedway.

He was a volunteer fireman on Ringwood Department for 11 years. Doug was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Enid.

Those who preceded Doug in death include his grandparents; granddaughter, Madison Michele Victor; and mother-in-law, Stella Bookout.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Enid; three children, B.J. Pekrul, Misty Victor and husband Nicholas, and Tony Pekrul and wife Sandra, all of Enid; nine grandchildren, Garison, Brooklyn and Elye Pekrul, Kaden and Londyn Victor, Annie, DixieLee and Jason Pekrul, Alexis Berry; parents, Everett and Shirley Pekrul of Ringwood; three brothers, Chuck Pekrul and wife Cindy of Ringwood, Terry Pekrul and wife Tami of Manford, Rick Pekrul of Ringwood; one sister, Felicia Schmidt and husband David of Ringwood; and father-in-law, Donald McGill.

Memorials may be given to Ringwood Fire Department through the funeral home.
