GOLTRY—Funeral service for Dorothy “Dot” Jane Pecha 84, will be Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Garden Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid with Pastor Jay Drawbridge officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral home, Inc. of Helena. Dot was born on June 16, 1914 at Nash, the daughter of Chester and Blanch Blake Howard and passed away from this life on Friday, January 23, 2009 at Fairview Fellowship Home. She was married to Alfred Pecha in 1972.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred Pecha of Goltry, one son, two daughters, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law and four sisters-in-law.

Alfred (Alf) Pecha was born on October 1, 1918 in Goltry, the son of Gus and Mary Chuda Pecha and passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016.
He attended rural Goltry schools. Alfred was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 754th Chemical Depot Company as a Sergeant. While serving in the Army as a mechanic/welder, Alfred received many medals. They were: American Defense Service Medal, American Theater Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and a Victory Medal during WWII.
He was united in marriage in 1972 to Dorothy Jane Howard. To everybody around the area, she was known as Dot or Dottie.
Alfred farmed, ranched and did custom cutting for over thirty years. He lived life to the fullest. He loved to go fishing with his wife, Dottie. Dot would have her coffee can full of grasshoppers and crickets waiting for Alf to get home so they could go fishing. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a past member of the American Legion and VFW and was a member of Helena First Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Shy and husband James of Plano, Texas and Romona Kenyon of Dover; one son, Terry Hampton and wife, Kimberly of Frisco, Texas; three sisters, Lillian Steele of Oregon, Marie Zollar of Pennsylvania and Tillie Pecha of New Mexico; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Pecha of Parsons, Kansas; one special niece, Patty Pecha-Rector, who drove him many places and cared for him; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie; son, Richard Leon Hampton; his brothers, Joe, Pete and Shorty Pecha.
Funeral service for Alfred will be Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Helena First Christian Church with Pastor Jay Drawbridge officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to Helena First Christian Church through the funeral home.
