Funeral service celebrating the life of Gladys L. Paulk, 94, of Enid, Okla., will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Eastern Star rights and service will be conducted. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Gladys was born to Ed and Rosa Mae (Thompson) Johnson Feb. 11, 1921, in Enid and passed from this life at her home on Sunday, April 12, 2015.

She was raised and educated in Enid.

She married J.B. Paulk in Guthrie on July 4, 1942.

She was a homemaker and also babysat at her home.

She was a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 31 for 67 years, R.S.V.P, a St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center volunteer and a member of Bethany United Methodist church.

She loved to garden, raising and feeding birds and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by sons, Ronald D. Paulk and wife Alma of Hollister, Calif., and Jerry W. Paulk of Enid; daughters, Janice K. Hogan and Vickie L. Shelton, both of Enid; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Charles Johnson of Wichita; and one sister, Glenda Houska of Deer Park, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, six brothers and three sisters.

Memorials may be made in her name to the R.S.V.P. organization with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
