OBITUARY

A memorial graveside service for William Josh Parsons, 89, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Don Tines will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 14, 1916, to Robert Thurman and Sadie Elmo (Raines) Parsons in Childress, Texas, and died in Enid May 31, 2006.

He moved to Enid when he was a child after the death of his mother. He married Jessie Motley April 2, 1935, in Weatherford. She preceded him in death in 2002. He worked for Groendyke Trucking for several years and TOX for 25 years and retired in 1980.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law Margaret Parsons of Bloomfield, N.M.; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie; sons, Victor Kenneth Parsons and William Leon Parsons, a brother Ray, and grandson Gary.
