Mrs. Parish was a graduate of Enid High School where she was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corp. She married Lawrence Russell Parish on January 30, 1943. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang with the Choir.

In 1958 Mrs. Parish moved with her family to Oklahoma City. She joined the Village Baptist Church and together with her husband served as the Superintendent and Teacher in the Young Adults Department as well as Director of Bible School. She devoted nineteen years leading youth in Cub Scouts, Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls.

The greatest joy in our mother’s life was her family. She dedicated herself to loving and caring for those she loved. It was her wish to return to her home in Enid. Services will be Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, Enid, OK. Jerry Erwin will officiate. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, OK.
