Memorial Park Cemetery


Celebration of life services for James Olin Preston, 81, Enid, will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 19, 2023, in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor David Jones officiating. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

James was born on May 18, 1941 in Cedartown, Georgia, the son of Walter Andrew Preston and Viola Jane Hughes Preston, and passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023, in Enid. He was raised in Cedartown, Georgia, moving to Enid when he was 16. He worked as a fry cook where he met Donna Virden, marrying her on June 19, 1965. James went to work for Enid Insulation and Siding and worked there 40 years, retiring in 2012. His hobbies were going to the casino and sitting on the back porch drinking coffee with his dog.

Survivors include his children, Pauline and husband Joey Breeze of Waukomis; Jana and husband Travis Taylor of Enid; Drew Preston and fiancé Brandon Koehn of Enid; Paul and Michelle Preston of Alexandria City, Alabama,, Kim and Billy Walker of Enid; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; James was preceded in passing by his wife and eight siblings.
