Emma L. NEWMAN
The funeral for Emma L. Newman, 93, of Enid will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Carrell Still will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 16, 1913, in Goltry, OK. to Thomas and Edith Ayers Thornburgh and died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, in Enid.
She attended school in Goltry. She married Murrell Melville Newman Aug. 17, 1931, in Jet. She was a member of Willow Road Christian Church.
Surviving are her children, Leon Newman of Enid, Ramona Fox of Mccune, Kan., Johnnie Tucker of Enid, Larry Newman of Enid and Les Leek of Absecon, NJ; one brother, Rolla Thornburgh of Kelseyville, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Murrell, three daughters, one brother and two sisters.Condolences may be made online at ladusauevans@coxinet.net.
