Funeral services for Amanda Grace Morris, 92, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Central Christian Church with Rev. John Mc-Lemore officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. The casket will be open at the funeral home and at the church until service time.
Grace was born October 29, 1913, in Enid, the daughter of Ben and Elva Mathers and passed away February 26, 2006.
She graduated from Enid High School in 1931, and attended Phillips University and Northwestern State at Alva. She married Virgil Morris February 1, 1934, and the couple lived in Alva before moving to Enid in 1945. They owned Morris Food Market for 27 years and Wicker Imports for 13 years.
Grace was a longtime member of Central Christian Church, the Pioneer Sunday School Class, and in a garden club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Morris, and a daughter, Jeanne Kay Wilson.
She is survived by her son, Richard Joe Morris of Denton, TX; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Clay Mathers; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Howard and Benny Buckminster.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Central Christian Church.
