Funeral service for June Evelyn Murphy, age 89, of Enid will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 4, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Susan Southall officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 6:30 at the funeral home.

June was born on June 12, 1926 in Waukomis, to Peter and Lula Mae (Taylor) Rose, and passed away on Friday, January 01, 2016, in Enid.

June grew up in Garber and graduated from Garber High School. On September 13, 1947 she married Ocus Murphy in Enid, where they made their home. June was a homemaker and a mom. She enjoyed playing cards, and farkle but her greatest joys in life were spoiling her brother and grandkids.

June is survived by her sons Ocus III and Ky Murphy of Enid, and Tim and Sheri Murphy of Littleton, Co; 6 grandchildren Stephanie Bradford, Derek Stephens, Kaleb Murphy, Sara Murphy, Nathan Murphy, and Christa Murphy; 8 great grandchildren; a brother Gerald Rose of Enid; 3 sisters Frances McKee of Waukomis, Lucille Rogers, and Irene Oliver both of Enid.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ocus, and daughter Judy.
