ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for Mildred Modrick, 93, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Enid, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Gene Spillman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Hitchcock, Okla., to Chris and Mollie Nusz Weber and died Friday, May 16, 2014, in Garland, Texas.

She came to Enid with her parents in 1934.

On May 28, 1941, she married Nicholas “Nick” Modrick in Enid. He preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2000.

She is survived by her grandson, Scott Pruettiangkura of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Edna Oberst of Enid; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley, and two sisters.
