The funeral for Wilma M. Mitchell, 89, will be 2 p.m. today, Sept. 25, 2008, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rick Talley will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born July 1, 1919, in Isabella to William A. and Eda May Fuller Zimmerman and died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, in Enid.

She grew up and attended schools in Isabella. She married George F. Mitchell Oct. 7, 1936, in Fairview. After his military service, they made their home in Enid. She was a member of Willow View United Methodist Church, Old Timers Dance Club, Moose Lodge and Old Cherokee Strip Round-up Club.

Surviving are her sons, Bill Mitchell of Fairview and Roger Mitchell of Enid; two brothers, Shelby Zimmerman of Emporia, Kan., and Enos Zimmerman of Fort Scott, Kan.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, one sister and an infant son.
