November 14, 1939 - September 13, 2021

Funeral services for Carolyn "Ann" Minor, 81, of Enid will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 to greet friends. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ann was born in Gorman, Texas, to Milton Teddy "Pete" King and Donnie Pearl King on November 14, 1939, becoming the fourth child. The family moved to Enid, OK, in 1943. Ann attended the Enid Public School system.

She met the love of her life, Walter C. Minor, and the two were married September 16, 1956. They welcomed their first daughter, Janet Elaine, in 1958 and daughter Lorrie Ann in 1960.

As well as being a wife and mother, Ann worked in retail sales at Gibson's, TG&Y and was assistant manager at Lerner's Clothing Shops. She then worked at Busy Bee Day Care as an early childhood caregiver. That position sparked her love of caring for children, which prompted her to buy and become owner/director of It's a Small World Child Care Center in 1985. Miss Ann cared and loved many children in Enid over a 30-year time period before her retirement in 2015.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 65 years, Walter C. Minor of the home; daughters, Janet Allison (Larry) of Enid and Lorrie Potter (Dick) of Hillsboro, MO; grandchildren, Jill Spratt (Andrew) of High Ridge, MO, and Jonathan Allison of Edmond; the light of her eyes, her joy, her great- grandchildren, Meredith, Drew, Emma, Ava and Benjamin Spratt of High Ridge, MO; and a host of nieces, nephew, and loving friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Donnie King; brother, Sidney King; sisters, Edna Tunnell and Jerrie Roach; and two nephews, Sid Jr. and Ronnie Tunnell.

Condolences to the family may be made and services viewed online at ladusauevans.com.
