Sandra Meitler, 69, was called to her eternal home Feb. 22, 2017. Sandra was born Aug. 16,1947, in Enid, to the Rev. August and Leona Meitler.

After attending Enid schools and graduating from Enid High School, she attended St. John's Junior College, Winfield, Kan., and graduated from Northwestern State College, Alva. For many years, she lived in Enid and worked at Greenbrier Nursing Home. In November 2003, Sandra was in ill health. To be with family, she moved to Sacramento, Calif., where she spent her remaining years in River Bend Nursing Center. Sandra was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Enid, where she was actively involved in choir, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, taught Sunday school and enjoyed working with children.

Sandra is survived by sister, Myra Stewart; husband Jene, Sacramento, Calif.; brother, Steve; wife Billie, El Paso, Texas. Nephews, Lyle Stewart, wife Kristi, children Matt and Bailey; Ross Stewart, wife Lori, all of the Sacramento area. Nephews Dusty Meitler, wife Judy, children, Justin and Casey, El Paso, Texas; Robbie Meitler, Boston, Mass.; Montgomery Meitler, Austin, Texas.

The memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1626 E. Broadway. Before the service, private internment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Meitler Scholarship Fund, St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
