Funeral service for Robert “John” Meadows, 46, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with Kevin Choate officiating. Cremation will follow with interment to be held privately at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

He was born Jan. 20, 1969, in Enid, Okla., to Robert and Linda “Harwood” Meadows-Crowcroft and passed from this life on Thursday, April 30, 2015, in Enid.

He was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1987.

He worked for Kmart and then started his 20-year career with AdvancePierre Foods. He worked as a packer, line leader, production coach and any other position where help was needed while working at the Willow facility.

He always enjoyed the outdoors, wrestling, O.U. football, fishing and spending special time with his daughter and family.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal and daughter Hailey of the home; mother, Linda Crowcroft and husband Bob of Enid; brother, Scott Meadows and wife Gina of Edmond; sister, Melissa Chapman and husband Jason of Enid; nephews, Ryan and Evan Meadows; nephew, Samuel Chapman; uncle, Terry Harwood and wife Carolyn of Enid; cousin, Steven Harwood of Enid; and many other loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Meadows; uncles, Walt and Danny Meadows; and grandparents, Wayne and Ella Harwood and Walter and Florence Meadows.

Memorials may be made in his honor to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, diabetes division, with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
