August 17, 1938 - May 24, 2019

Services for Balem Benjamin McReynolds, age 80, of Kodak, TN, formerly of Enid, are at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 31, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with the United States Army to perform military honors. Visitation is from 1:00 to 1:45 pm Friday, prior to the start of the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Balem was born August 17, 1938 in Great Bend, Kansas to John and Maymie McReynolds, and passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Balem was a simple man, and was always willing to help others in their time of need. Whether it was a ride to work, or a helping hand, he had a giving spirit and a heart of gold; never expecting anything in return. He loved spending time with his family, his neighbors and his friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Maymie McReynolds; wife Gloria Mae McReynolds; sister, Nancy Kuntz. He is survived by two children, Rickey McReynolds Sr., and wife Ana, of Kodak, TN; Kay Ann McReynolds, of Enid; two step-sons, Kevin Usry, of Enid; Will Keith Usry, of Paradise, LA; eight grandchildren, Rickey McReynolds Jr., of Sevierville, TN; Matthew McReynolds, of Ponca City, OK; Katie McReynolds, of Sevierville, TN; Rocky McReynolds, of Enid; Carrie Usry, of Enid; Lisa Hartfiel and husband Andrew, of Enid; Amy Nease, of Drummond; Mandy White and husband Del, of Virginia Beach, VA; as well as five great-grandchildren, Trevor Usry, Kyle Martin, Cameron Hartfiel, Hannah Nease; and Brianna Miller. He also leaves Walter Larkin and wife Shari, of Pond Creek, whom Balem considered part of his family.

Memorial contributions in Balem's name may be made to the Jefferson Park at Dandridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
